“Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one.” – Dirty Harry Callahan

Baker Mayfield is classless. Baker is out of control. Baker needs to be more respectful. Baker is a punk. Baker is cocky and arrogant. Mayfield is a disgrace to his teammates. Baker Mayfield should be more humble. He’s setting a bad example for kids. Baker has hurt his draft stock.    These are just a few of the countless opinions that have been expressed across social media and TV since last Saturday surrounding Baker Mayfield’s now famous crotch grab and “F@*% You!” to the Kansas Jayhawks. First off, for all the Longhorn fans on social media who have expressed an...

Are you scared?

Its’ Friday the 13th and in approximately 15 hours the Oklahoma Sooners will square off against that team from Austin, TX in the Cotton Bowl. It’s Friday the 13th…in October. Does that give it extra spooky significance? The Sooners barely beat Baylor. Sorry, that was obviously a typo. The Sooners barely beat Baylor - wait that actually happened? The Cowboys had the best or second best quarterback in...

24 - Joe Knows

24. ~ The number of hours in one day. ~ The number of karats in pure gold. The number 24 is a memory to me. It is the first “football” number I can remember. When I was a very young child – a very young SOONER child the number 24 played a significant part of my childhood memories. The very first jersey I ever wore was, of course an Oklahoma jersey with the number 24 on it. Washington was the name on back. Joe “Silver Shoes” Washington was a running back for the University of Oklahoma in the 70’s. A...
